    This tie, c. late 1940s/early 1950s, is an untitled work. Fashion “creations” from that era often had titles for the designs on the reverse of the tie, some written in a white space specifically designated for the purpose. Such a white space on this one remains blank, so go wild and name the design whatever you feel! The necktie features lozenges of red and gray, each bordered in cream and decorated with a meander, and with a chain near the knotting area, all against a brown ground. Excellent vintage condition, some small pinholes; recently cleaned.
